#346854 Strobe Arm Length?

Posted by scuba_d on 27 April 2014 - 10:18 AM

UK diving though not blue water.

I cannot see myself using more than 8 inch on each side for wide angle and close up photography in UK and even in blue water, unless shooting something unusual or experiment different technique.

I do not think that additional arm, 5 or 8 inch will give you far better outcome. It is the position of your strobes and their output which makes the big difference.

Some examples I took in UK, all shot using 2 Nikonos SB105 on 8 inch arms:

#322936 PADI goes solo

Posted by scuba_d on 19 December 2012 - 01:41 AM

May I suggest we start a pinned thread where we post about dive operations which do subscribe to solo diving?

This is a very good idea.

I tried to do solo dives at some inland dive sites here in UK and when you ask to do so they look at you as an alien.
I am really curious to see these inland training facilities where you can get the solo qualification and yet not to be allowed to do a solo dive in their dive sites.
