Moving macro adator further from housing???

What would be the effect of moving a 67mm macro converter 20 mm's further away from the camera? ( PT-EPO5L housing

I am in the process of making another macro lighting "ring of light" and I can cut a 67mm thread on the front of the front of the lighting ring.

Also if anyone out there has a 67mm macro converter could you please measure the total diameter of it and let me know stating brand and model.

How long does a strobe light stay on for?

Is this related to strobe power?

If a given strobe is used at half power is it on for half as long or same length of time but half as bright?

Is there a spec to look for on a strobe to see how long it is on for?

Is this related to flash sync speed?

Looks my trusty G11 has turned into a rusty G11 so time to upgrade.

I dont want/ cant afford a dSLR and housing but would like something better than the G11.

The Sony NEX 5 fits the bill. But is there an affordable housing for it? What features should I be looking at? I guess I need a sync cable bulk head. what about interchangeable ports?
What other cameras are comparable?

Made this macro LED light system some time ago.
It has 16 Cree XP-G LEDs producing about 4000 lumen.
Its powered by a separate battery cannister that hange below it ( not pictured)

Camera is a G11 Canon.

Sea and Sea YS300 optical trigger

Hi, first post on the forum.

I have just purchased a YS300 and YS30 strobe pair from an auction. I have not recieved them yet but from what I can tell the 300 has no optical trigger.

Can I get a optical sync cord for it or better yet anyone have the pin configurations for the YS300 so I can build my own?
