Hi all,

 

I have a new project in my hands.

Friends of mine have asked me if I could make underwater pictures for their wedding cards.

I would like to do that, but how do you start...

 

I have been thinking of a black uw backgrounddrop with weights.

Can it done without ?

 

I also would ask to dim the lights above the pool; Only the lights in the pool would be on.

 

I have only 2 ys-D1 underwtaer strobes and one speedlight nikon SB900.

 

Do you need above lightning ?

If you take pictures in open water fashion shoot, then you only have your two strobes, why do you need more in the pool ?

I used these masks for communicating with my buddy, because i am nearly blind. Now we are used to eachother and do not need it anymore.

Is this a good flash, what is the difference with the type 4 ?

It will be used in combination with my S-2000 for WA and macro.

Im trying to found out what to do first.
Buying the naauticam viewfinder or a second strobe ?
At this moment i have a D7000 with Strobe inon S-2000.
Lenses Macro 60mm AF-D and tokina 10-17.

The second strobe would be handy for better lighting, especially i will dont need any more colour correcting filters for wide angle.

The viewfinder is another story, because i have only 10 percent sight left....
Would this be a great releaf, so that i can see the viewfinder better ?
Would it be more help(better images) or would a strobe do that, bearing in mind my visual problem.

Is it interesting to buy a housing for the nikon SB-900 flash or buy a traditional uw strobe ?
Who has experience with this ?
