If it doesnt fit it doesnt fit.

Thats the basic rule.

What i would do is to remove everything in there, the controls, the bottom plate, everything and see the "Real space"

I have a Liquid eye surfing housing the multicamera one, and i love that i can put any camera just changing the foams and the shutter release cable.

Of course that one has no controls more than the shutter, but for a surfing one thats enough.

Im working on a Nx90z housing (for a N90 film camera) and adapting it to a nikon d300, and its much harder than it seems, but its starting to get there.. seems like i have enough space now, just have to redo all the controls to get as many controls as posible in the d300.

by your photos, it seems that if you remove the controls and the plate at the bottom it will fit..

its hard to find this kind of tool in my island, but i found something wich worked so far...

i will post a resume of what i done so far and what is left ( wich is a lot ) but it seems like i will be able to have control of both dials, shutter and a few more buttons of the d300 on this housing.. i wish i bought something slightly bigger like a housing for an N100 or something like that, or maybe ikelite that seem to be a bit bigger.

now i think im done making space in the inside and its time to make the controls and adaptations wich may take a good while...

Is this the tool you talking about??

my local hardware stores don't know anything like this, i may have to try a watch shop?? but will that resist enough?

On the workshop they had a tool used to open the half circles that lock some bolts, im not sure this will work..

anyway that tool was 20euros so not sure its worth it just for one use!

that was my first idea, but i see how the housings work with this camera and they dont have this, they just have a flat surface...

as this or :

But i cannot understand how this flat rotating thing can move a ring on a 90 angle over it.

does the surface has some trimming?

What you showd on your photo was what i was planing to do, but if i can make it with a flat pannel will be much more simple to make.
