What kind of juvenile?

27 March 2013 - 10:49 AM

Hi all, spotted this in Raja Ampat, anyone seen this one before? Im guessing it could be a juvenile of some sort but Ive scoured the Fish ID reference books with no positive ID as yet.

Insights from Indonesia 2012

27 March 2013 - 10:40 AM

Greetings Wetpixelers, I have been meaning to post some photos from my travels around Indonesia in 2012. Finally getting around to do so. The images were taken from Tulamben and Komodo. I used a 10-17 and a 60mm. Canon 550D in an Aquatica. All images are not cropped. (Many thanks go out to Jean from Aquatica and Gudge for the sage advice and guidance along the way)

Spare Focus light

14 October 2012 - 12:28 AM

Im currently using a LM Sola 600 and on the last trip I had a few issues with after a full few hours charge I only had less than a dive before the light went out of juice. Yes im going to contact where I had purchased from and get their advice on this.. Light is less than 6 months old and only had about 30 dives. Charge is intermittent and I cant afford another. Sola 600 as a backup (obvious on cost factor) should the light totally fail on say.. a LOB trip. So im looking at value for money option to connect a good led torch which is compact has a good wide beam with interchangeable AA batteries and can be ball mounted on a ulcs std clamp. Happy to invest more than $100-150. Suggestions welcome.

Manual Focus Gear for 60mm?

26 August 2012 - 11:19 AM

Just thought Id ask how many folks on here actually use a manual focus gear for their macro work. Been interested to know - Im only using AF atm but wondering how much more one can achieve in terms of advantages of having the facility for manual control underwater with small subjects?
