A buddy of mine just got his sola nitesea light. Very cool i must say. He got the mask yellow filter as well. Is this just a standard filter for the mask or camera? I want to pick one up but they seem kinda pricey.  And can anyone explain to me exactly why I need the yellow? Just by playing with it i can tell it blocks out the blue light and makes the floucence pop but everything glows without it too.

Can i use this or something like this to make my own mask filter? Do i really need this?
