Measurements from Nauticam or Sea & Sea Macro Ports

16 January 2017 - 07:36 AM

Hi,
trying to house my Nikon Micro 85mm,
i am looking for a as short as possible port to be able to use macro wetlenses as well.....
Housing is a Hugyfot, and they dont have a narrow macro port.
So i would addapt a Nauticam or Sea & Sea.
Now i have to find out which port is the right.....

The Nauticam ports are very nice with the 67mm thread, and it looks like i can get a lot of different sizes ( every 10mm ).
But how long is a 18701 Macro Port 60 inside?
Would need the lenght from the inner glas side to the absolute end, and or the border to the housing.
And if possible in metric system ;-))

Then i can look which port will be the shortest possible for the combination with the adapter ring.

Thanks a lot,
Wolfgang

Sealux PS Macro Port dimensions

06 January 2017 - 02:18 PM

Hi,
hope here are some Sealux user, who can help me.

I have a Nikon D500 in a Hugyfot housing, and plan to use a Sealux PS port with a Adapter ring ( i have one )
Ps port, simply because of light possibilities and weight.
But i Need the lenght of the port inside to figure out which one will be the best solution.

Sealux has no dimensions on their page, and the Adapter will add some lenght,
so i hope some users here can help me.

Would Need the lenght from the front glas element inside to the end of the port.
Have some normal Sealux macro ports, but they are too long, so i then can find out which one will fit.

Thanks a lot,
Wolfgang

Looking for a fast wide angle lens for Nikon DX

24 October 2016 - 08:36 AM

Hi,
i am looking for a fast DX wide angle lens.
Reason: shooting without strobe / lights, because not allowed, thresher sharks in Malapascua

Last year i used a Oly OMD5e with a 12mm f2 lens, but it was too dark for nice shoots. Look grainy Iso 640, f2,

For all the other types of underwater photography the OMD5e was fine, no question!

Next spring it will be a D500 ;-))
I own a Tokina 10 - 17mm, a Sigma 14mm f2,8 and a Sigma 18 - 35 f 1,8.
The Sigma zoom is fast, but not really wide enough, the Tokina is wide but not fast enough, the Sigma prime is somethere in the middle...

Are there any other lenses i have been missing, that are worth looking?

Regards,
Wolfgang

Hi,
my girlfriend has last trip found out, that she loves that lens, but unfortunatly she dropped it,
and the back lens broke....
So i would look for one with a broken or scratched front lens, to complete ours.

Or if you wanna sell yours, in good shape as well ;-))

If you have on, please contact me.
