Warning check your Nikkor 70-200 VRII for defects

Apparently I am not the only one that got a 2nd class brand new Nikon 70-200 VRII.
It seems that these issues are not limited to users in a particular country.
If you got one of these new lenses inspect the lens carefully checking for defects.
It is not clear if these issues affect or will affect the optical performance of the lens.

EU bans seal imports from Canada

In case you have missed it. The European Parliament just approved an almost complete ban ban on the trade of seal products in the European Union

That obnoxious Canadian seal hunt is now a step closer to extinction. Good news are hard to come by these days but once in a while...
