About Me

I am a wildlife cameraman, based in Malaysia since 2001. I specialise in filming underwater and am experienced working on shoots of various sizes and budgets, including landmark BBC blue-chip series such as Lifeand Life StoryOver the course of my career I’ve notched up over 4,000 dives with various cameras in diverse locations from the Antarctic to the tropics. I enjoy the challenge of filming megafauna such as blue whales and also crafting more complex, intricate sequences with reef critters or human talent. To help spend more time underwater I’ve worked hard to improve my freediving skills and also dive a closed circuit rebreather. Equipment changes rapidly in this business and I’m always excited by new camera setups. Most of my filming is done using Red cameras in Gates housings but I’m familiar with many different options and have worked extensively with lighting and grip underwater
