brand new dx8000G Sea&Sea digital camera

08 September 2005 - 12:24 PM

my eBay auction:

dx8000G for sale

I'm willing to cancel the auction if someone is interested in the whole system.

Here's a great, very detailed online review of the camera:
http://www.letsgodig.../46/page_1.html

And a more underwater photography oriented wetpixel review:

The DX-8000G Camera & Housing above, a YS-90DX Strobe, Fiber optic sync cord, DX Base, Sea Arm VI all for sale as a package for $1600.

The system is BRAND NEW and only used once. Contact me if you are interested. I can send closeup images of the actual system, etc.
The 8.2 megapixel resolution is AWESOME. The images are so nice and large that you can reframe the shot on the computer with resolution to spare! I hate to sell this setup, but really just can't afford to keep it.

Bonaire trip - testing out the dx8000G

08 September 2005 - 10:49 AM

I've posted shots from a recent Bonaire trip here. Note that in Flickr you can click on "All Sizes" above the photo to see the largest version of the shot.

BONAIRE Aug/Sept 2005

using the new Sea&Sea dx8000G with a YS90dx TTL strobe.

By the way, I'm selling the camera and strobe rig. If anyone's interested follow the link below:

Sea&Sea dx-8000

just wondering if anyone out there's had any experience shooting with the dx-8000. I'm assuming it's functionally identical to the 5000? Any comments on image quality and ease of use, etc? Thanks.
