I guess the advice I had been given bofore was designed to keep the housing from fogging up once I bring the camera outside and has nothing to do with putting the camera in the water.

I plan on diving the florida springs extensively over the next year and a half.

During warm or hot days should I set the ac to approxomate the exterior condidtions and then set up the camera inside the truck?

What of diving in the winter, should I avoid setting up the camera in heated airspace and set up outside instead?

I guess I could stick my old housing in the water first to see what happens

Thank you guys for the help!

Ive been told not to close the housing, inside with air conditioning, so now I'm a bit confused.

It didnt fog on the second dive and the air temp was about the same as the third. The housing was never opened between the second and third dive. And i'm only looking at 45 min between dives, the camera was under a towel in my truck with the windows partially down for about 15 minutes while I picked up a new tank, the temp in the truck never seemed to increase while I was gone and when I returned the doors were opened as I got ready to dive again

I thought an underwater camera was just supposed to be part of your dive gear

Hey Glasseye, two more good posts and I appreciate the link to the mars information, I did find the length of the martian summer helpful.

I still have doubts to the level of effect co2 hason our planet, there is still more info I need.

The current warming cycle may be the first that is driven by CO2 with temperature following

I still think that this may putting the cart before the horse
