Marsa Alam Trip Photos

Well since I have moved from the UAE to Australia, I have finally settled in and found time to upload my photos. I know there are too many photos of the same thing, but I am sure that over the weeks that I will trim again.. Had a great trip with extra divers although I am sure they got the timing wrong for the sharks they always seemed to be just below us and rose as we started to end our dive!!

Liveaboard is the only way to dive elphinstone I am a convert from now on!! but still had fun, dove loads and enjoyed myself. I won the trip as part of the EDA (Emirates Dive Association ) competition and I added some extra days to the trip.

Boracay

Hi guys,

I recently won as a prize in an UW photo comp 5 nights in Boracay - Pinjalo or the Calypso resort. What is the diving like there and what is the best time to go - i am assuming like the rest of the philippines around feb - may. i have dived, Puerto Galera and Malapascua and i am wondering how it compares. I am thinking to possibly combine it with a stay at either PG or Anilao.

any advice is greatly appreciated - thanks.

carrying lanyard

I am looking at getting a lanyard for my aquatica housing to assit with carrying to dive shops/boats and for retreival on the boat after a dive.

I am always parnoid that someone wil grab one of the electrical cables instead of a handle. I have the lanyard but i need a way to attach to my aquatica housing. unlike sea and sea and Nauticam aquatica housings don't have nice brackets for attaching this. Does anyone know if the S&S or nauticam brackets will fit my handles and where i can get them or an alternative?

Aquatica 8" Acrylic Dome versus 4" mini dome for WA

Hi All,

I am off to the southern red sea shortly and as normal i am looking at the amount of luggage that i will require to take with me.

i have an Aquatica 8" dome and the Aquatica 4" mini dome. i plan on taking my 10.5mm FE and my 10-17mm FE for wide angle work and teleconvertors for CFWA. if i use either lens in the mini dome with the correct spacers for full WA will it be as sharp as using the 8" dome for that WA and keeping the 4" for just CFWA?
