Nice, Jack! Can’t wait to get mine in the water too. Hope you’re well.

#369090 Subal or Nauticam?

What kind of sync cables are you using for those? As long as you have that type of bulkhead in the new housing then it should work.

If you prefer Subal then it would be worth it to contact them to see about timing and such. For me I wouldn't go with a different brand just to have it sooner, but only if I liked that brand of housing better.

I am a longtime Subal user and am looking to switch to Nauticam this next time around. They have some really nice looking improvements that differentiate them from Subal, whose build quality and ergonomics I've always liked but things like vacuum seals I would have to go aftermarket.

#362358 Does a harness bcd improve shooting uw?

Posted by tangfish on 17 June 2015 - 12:03 PM

Pick the best bcd for your diving and don't worry about one specific for uw photography. uw photography all begins with being a good diver, imo, and that has a lot to do with your buoyancy and comfort in the water. A good fitting bcd with the right D-ring placements will be great for overall diving and will serve you well shooting photos as well.

#358675 Is underwater photography actually possible without a strobe? using the right...

One of my friends consistently gets great shots using a canon point and shoot with no flash but uses off camera lighting from a SOLA mounted on the hand grip of her opposite hand.

Best underwater film I've ever seen. Cut the resort scenes and submit it to a film festival and it'd be a slam dunk! That blue ring egg hatching footage is just sick sick sick!!!

#350887 Strobe Arm Length?

I've been liking the longer arms (you can always adjust them to be in closer).
