You might also want to check out Bandito Charters http://www.banditoch...ndito/index.htm  They are based in Anacortes, but service Friday Harbor. They have connections there for air fills.  I usually launch out of Anacortes and overnight at Friday Harbor.

I have done a couple charters with Kurt and he knows the area well.  They have cool hats too.

Hey guys. Have any of you been out diving with Island Dive & Water Sports off of Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands? I may be there during my Seattle/Vancouver trip this August, and am looking for more options.

Nice shot on the kelp greenling.  That is a tough one to get. They are usually quite skittish!

Hi PRC,

I have encountered the same problem. Ike clamps don't work well with TLC arms.  Get the TLC clamps, at least for the base and arm joint. I still use the Ike clamp for the top connection to the strobe ball, because there is less force there. TLC clamps will work well with the Ike or TLC arms.

Hi,

I've recently upgraded my DSLR rig from Ikelite to Aquaitca. To minimise the impact on my wallet, I opted to keep my DS-125s, Ikelite arms (9+6") and clamps.

Aquatica have a ball post that bolts to the handles to match Ikelite balls and clamps (ie. solid 1" ball, no oring).

The Ikelite clamps don't seem to grip to the ball anywhere near as good as to the original Ikelite ball posts on my other housing. This is so much so that I need to seriously screw the clamps down when in WA mode as the weight of the DS125 on the end of the arms causes the ball and clamp to slip.

To me, the nice finish on the Aquatica balls seems to be a lot more slippery than that on the Ikelite.

Is anyone have similar issues?

I'm relatively new to U/W photography and making use of one of my old digital cameras, an Olympus C5050 Zoom in an Olympus PT-015 housing. At one time I saw that there was a magnifier for the LCD display. I'm having trouble seeing some of the information on the LCD (I need reading glasses) so would like to know if the magnifiers are still available. If so, where do I get one. Anyone out there got one they would like to sell?
