Recently I sold my Sony and looked at both the G11 & S90. Got a G11 as it fit my hands better. Pleased with results so far topside.
At DEMA I looked at housings for the G11 & S90.
The plastic housing sold by Canon looked OK for the G11 - the size & price were good, OK access to functions, feel of shutter lever was just OK. Odd rectangular front port.
The Lexan housing sold by Ikelite for the G11 looked good. You can add their slip-on dome port to restore full 28mm or add a macro lens. *
The machined housing by SeaTool (prototype shown) was far lighter & more compact than the Ikelite, but $$$ more.
The S90 Lexan housing by Ikelite was a little gem. VERY compact (would fit in a drysuit thigh pocket). Has access to the front control ring. Will take screw-in WA & close-up lenses.*
I was told SeaTool has a tiny machined housing for the S90 on the way. *
* what sales reps told me, please verify yourself.

I'll be looking for housings at DEMA. G11 followed me home this weekend.
Solid small camera. Size, weight & build reminds me of favorites from earlier times: Leica CL, Rollei 35, Canon QL17-GIII
Metal, not plastic. The knobs and buttons appear to be adequately sized for an adult male. The instruction manual is well written.

Florida Freedivers (nearby in Lake Park, FL) and Austin's in Miami carry fin socks. Most Euro dive brands offer fins socks in several thicknesses (1-5mm) & sizes, some with grip soles, kevlar soles, etc.
