Thank you too for pointing up the low light limitations of camcorders to this video 'newbee'. Maybe I need to dig deeper and consider a higher specification rig? In which case, I expect Messrs Gates may need to have my name on a housing...


As drew already asked. What your current 7D + nauticam housing is missing for your task?

Currently I am using it with 14mm prime only. The port is a 3.5 inches dome port.
I am using the housing with inon holder 2 grip set.


Hi, do you know the depth rating of the housing?

Nauticam USA and other intl dealers state 100m but Nauticam website state 60m

Reminds me of the days stereo companies were advertising amps at very high wattages but were using false ratings. 115 watts per side IPP is about 12 watts RMS which is the true standard for wattage and stereo equipment.

Most of the other characteristics between the two lights seem to be fairly close together but the charge issue might become a deal breaker. IMHO


Yeap! Having an extra battery pack ready to use is a plus.
The problem is the color temp (if it's real) 9000k is really a blue light
