I am selling my Ikelite DS51 strobes & Ultralight Control Systems arms for $850. I only used them on one shark diving trip before deciding to upgrade to the DS160s. These are great strobes for macro photography or a little fill flash with big critters. The set of Ultralight Control Systems arms include 2x 5" arms, 2x 3" arms, and 6 clamps.
I can accept a cashiers check or PayPal. The buyer will cover the shipping. Please contact me at (206) 963-9022 or jon@cornforthimages.com.

I am selling my Canon 5D and Ikelite underwater housing for $2000. The camera body has somewhere around 15,000 shutter actuations on it. It's serial number is 1721202791. The Ikelite housing has been mainly used to photograph whales and sharks near the surface and has only been to 20-80' a few times. All of the buttons and internal electronics work fine, and it has never been flooded. I want to sell the camera body and housing together. I will include the BG-E4 battery grip, Kirk QR plate, BP-511A battery and charger, camera manual, neckstrap, and Ikelite 6" dome port with shade. I also have a Canon 20mm f2.8 lens and Canon 28mm f2.8 lens for sale that work great with this system.
I can accept a cashiers check or PayPal. The buyer will cover the shipping. Please contact me at (206) 963-9022 or jon@cornforthimages.com.

It looks like the Japanese are really upping their pressure tactics on Sea Shepherd. It's not enough that they already tried to assassinate Paul Watson earlier this year down in Antarctica.

Ikelite DS 125/160 versus DS200
15 September 2008 - 07:57 AM
I am going to Raja Ampat in November for 3 weeks of diving. I am very comfortable shooting ambient light and macro subjects, but have very little experience shooting wide angle using strobes. I'm considering buying the Ikelite DS160 or the larger DS200. Does anyone have any suggestions about which strobe is better for shooting coral scenes using strobes with ambient light above? I'm leaning towards the DS160s based on travel size and price, but I want to make sure that they will work for what I want to do. Thanks.
