About Me

Hi,

I am a dual citizen, Australian born and now an American living in Texas and working overseas in war zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan as a Remote duty Paramedic.

I got into scuba diving back in 1983 and dived Australia extensively. I turned pro with PADI in 1988 and worked as a DM for almost 10 years before recieving my PADI MSDT in 1997. I worked for Mike Ball Dive Expeditions as the resident Photo Video Pro on TSMV Watersport & SpoilSport for 3 years before heading leaving Australia for the United States. I worked briefly for Peter Hughes Diving in Belize as a Photo and Video Pro on the ill-fated Wave Dancer, and later as the photo shop manager in the British Virgin Is. from 2001-2002.

Having married my soul mate in 2002 I settled in Texas, and completed my Paramedic studies. I then worked as a Faculty instructor at the local college and ran 911 calls in Houston for a busy 911 Agency before heading to Iraq to work as a Paramedic contractor. I spent nearly 5 years there between 2005-2010 in many places from within the safety of the fence and out there on the other side of the fence as a PSD Paramedic. I am now located in Northern Afghanistan doing the same job as of 2010.

Since I am not in the water much, I have refocused my photography from Underwater to Military/ Aviation to keep my photography skills sharp.

I shoot with a Canon 1Ds Mark III camera, My lenses consist of Canon 100mm f.28 L IS USM, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM, Canon Mp-65E 5-1 Macro, Canon 16-35mm f2.8 L II USM, Canon 14mm f2.8 Prime. I have a number of Pocketwizard transmitters and flash units to do advanced light photography.

For underwater I have a Aquatica 1Ds Housing with 9.25" Mega dome, with Aqua View and Remote cable set up and a number of accessories. I have 2x Ds-160 strobes, and 3x Ds-125 strobes and 2 Seahorn Snoot sets.
