On other long layovers, I have gone to Loloata Resort for lunch. About 45 minutes to and from, including boat ride. Can sit at beach area, have a beer and a nice lunch in a safe place away from the city.
Have a nice trip!

I'd still send it in to Ikelite in the hope that it can be repaired. They will do all to it they can. Good luck.

It came quite quickly to NYC, no problems with customs or such. I tested it on the camera/housing today and it looks like it works just fine in the 8 inch domeport with no extension rings!
Can't wait to try it out next week in Lembeh

Hey guys,
Just a quickie. Great to put everything through the tests with regards to the Gates, the Z1 and all achro diopters, green force lights et al. Here in Lembeh just finishing the first of my 4 week trip. So far found some amazing stuff, not having been to this neck of the woods before. Greaat Pygmy seahorse stuff, full frame using stacked achro diopters (3.5 and a 2) so many other critters to mention.
Try to give you all an update again in a week or so.
Tony Wu, thanks for the efforts regarding the Green Force battery. I got the message but am fine for the moment with the current one. Everything so far running like clockwork.
Cheers,
Mark.
Hey Mark,
Which resort are you staying at???

In Topic: Wi-Fi SD Card

I just came across this article about an upcoming Wi-Fi SD Memory Card that should be out later this year.
I sounds like something that might be useful to our hobby (okay obsession). I know before I got a 4GB card a lot of the time the only reason I opened my housing between dives was to swap cards. Hopefully the power drain on the camera battery won't be too much.
I wonder what the range will be like in water???
Of course you would need a WiFi hotspot in the area you are diving for this to work... and I doubt it will make it through an aluminum housing. Otherwise an interesting idea!
