What brand & speed of 35mm slide film to use??

Back in the day - I used Fuji 50 color slide film in my Nikonos III. Have there been any breakthroughs in film technology in the last 10 years that would drive me to switch??

Shutter speed when using strobe

What is the optimum shutter speed for a totally manual camera when using a strobe? If my light meter suggest a combo of shutter speed and f-stop based on natural lighting - how do I reconcile this?

Slide Processing

I still use 35mm color slides - does anybody know if you can alos get digital pics on a disk when you send your slide film in for processing? If so, do they come out OK?
