focus light configuration?

13 September 2011 - 10:21 PM

i have just purchased a canon 100mm lens and i am looking to upgrade my focus light to a i-torch video pro 3 i use to have a light focus light on a ring clamp which was clamped on my ikelite modular port but since the i torch weighs in at 700  grams with battery's i feel it would not be a good idea to put it on the port as it would put undue stress on the port clips i was thinking of putting a ball mount on the focus mount on the ikelite housing with a clamp and short arm ,i am looking at something with good mobility anyone got ike housing or similar with the said requirements, any photos of your setup would be nice thankyou in advanced

canon 100mm,1.4 converter, ike ports?

03 August 2011 - 09:57 PM

am looking to buy the canon 100mm 2.8 (non IS model) in the near future and then later date put my kenko 1.4 converter on it for the real small stuff,i have an ikelite housing my question is ,would it be possible to get away with only buying one modular port that will fit the 100mm with the converter and still be OK with the 100mm on its own even thru it will be approx 20mm longer,i can"t see it making any difference, but would like to hear from anyone with this combo and if so what model port extension do you have to fit both lens and converter, PS:-want auto focus only extention, any info would be appreciated
