I'm going on a group trip out of Morehead City, NC the weekend of their annual Seafood Festival -- Oct 5-7. North Carolina Seafood Festival

We will be diving wrecks like the Papoose, U-352, and the Schurz. We should see sand tiger sharks, lionfish, eels, and huge clouds of baitfish. There was even a whaleshark spotted a couple weeks ago!

Water temp should be 80-85 deg with 75-150ft viz.

The trip includes 3 days of 2-tank diving, breakfast and lunch on the boat each day, a BBQ Saturday night, and lodging in either the dive lodge (bunkhouse) or hotel rooms. It does not include tank rentals or fills. 3 days of diving and staying in the bunkhouse is ~$600.

There are still some spots available on the trip. I'm trying to find more folks to go so I can have more fun! The more the merrier! Who wants to go?  

I have an Ikelite housing and the 8" dome port. I use Nikon cameras and lenses -- D200, D100, 12-24, 18-70, 18-135, 60 macro and 105 macro.

What are the pros and cons to using the 60 macro lens behind the 8" dome port?

I have an Ikelite 6810 housing for the Nikon D100 for sale. I bought it new last May and I've made about 60 dives with it. I recently sent it in to Ikelite, and they returned it last week. They checked it over, pressure tested it, and made a few adjustments to the camera mounting plate.

I'll also include a 5503.55 6" port that I used for the Nikon 18-70mm zoom, and fresh o-rings and lube for the housing and port.

I've switched to the D200 and bought the Ikelite housing and 8" dome.

$1000 for the housing and port. I'll sell them separately only if somebody buys the housing first.

If anybody is interested in the complete system -- housing, port, camera, lens, strobe, arms -- let me know. It's all available.

Maybe this is an oddball idea, but some of the housing makers have a 1" ball base adapter on top of their housings to allow mounting a focus light.

Has anybody tried to mount a ULCS base adapter on top of an Ikelite housing? How did you do it?

I know I can attach a focus light to the quick release handles or the ULCS arms. I'd like one in the center top of the housing, thinking it would be easier to use and would do a better job of illuminating my subject.
