Hello
Hope someone can help.

I have a Sea&Sea NX Compact Macro Port Base with a Compact Wide Port L on the end of it.
If I got a CX Compact Dome Port, would it screw onto the end of the NX Compact Macro Port Base?

Cheers

I have a S&S housing for the Coolpix 5000 that has a dome port and adapter for wide algle use. As far as I can tell, the dome port is the CX Compact Dome, but it does not have any identifying marks. I also have a compact macro port S, and the macro port threads match the CX dome threads, and thread into the adapter perfectly. It would make sense that S&S would use the same size fittings, but sense doesn't always prevail. You should be good to go with a CX dome.

Hello Dave
Thanks for replying.

Here are some pics of my NX Compact Macro Port Base with a Compact Wide Port L on the end of it.

Could you post a pic of your CX Compact Dome Port if possible.

Cheers

The dome port has the same bayonet mount that matches the housing so you fit it directly to the housing or use an extension depending on the lens. The Compact Macro Port base has a screw thread at the front, doesn't it?

Wags: that doesn't look like a dome port - it looks like it has flat glass???

Yes James I have a FLAT port on it at the moment. (Compact Wide Port L)
I want to see if the CX Compact Dome Port will screw on it like the Compact Wide Port L does now.

I see. That would be good. Good luck!
