Adobe Labs has finally released a public beta of Lightroom for Windows (it has been beta for Mac for a long time now). From Adobe’s website: Project: Lightroom™ is Adobe’s effort to engage the professional photography community in a new way, giving you the opportunity to kick the tires and shape the feature set of a new tool being created just for you.
I’m going to download it now and give it a try. I’ve been hearing good things about it…

Comment(s):Hi Eric
I downloaded it as well and I do like what it does but like NIkon’s Capture NX it has no clone tool for fixing up camera specs etc.. Abit strange as I always use that tool in Photoshop.Or is it hidden somewhere in the program??

just kidding. It’s not meant to be a fully-fledged image editor. All of these programs are meant to be used in conjunction with something like Photoshop…

Posted by Eric Cheng on 07/19 at 08:50 AMEven though I do clean my sensor with a scuba tank & LPH air nozzel and adjust my strobe......
I want a clone tool so I can do it all in one program. But it does indeed feel good to drive.

When the need occurs to edit or play around with pictures more in depth, then you can always use Photoshop for that.
But I am very curious about Lightroom since that seems to be Adobe’s great effort to offer good and fast album and quick-editing functions (type Picasa) in conjunction with their fine, advanced tools in Photoshop…
