Possibly in response to the criticism of its proposed upgrade policy for users wishing to upgrade to Creative Suite (CS) 6 when it is released later in 2012, Adobe has announced that it will offer a special upgrade offer for licensed owners of CS3 and CS4 until 31 December. The details of the offer will be confirmed when the new version is released. Adobe's announcement suggests that this will take place in the first half of 2012.
