Aquatica, Montreal, Canada: Aquatica has just released the I.C.U. ( Illumination Control Unit), currently available for use with the Aquatica A300 and the Canon Rebel body.
The ICU is an internal circuit board containing a small microprocessor, which fits inside the housing wall between the TTL bulkhead connector and the SLR’s hot shoe. The ICU allows for full E-TTL capability with the Canon Rebel, enabling extremely accurate strobe exposure by basically mimicking the E-TTL of Canon land strobes.

The ICU is not a control-setting module with power settings but is indeed a true E-TTL.
There is a manual override switch on the board that allows for complete manual lighting control if preferred.
The ICU is compatible with most underwater strobes currently on the Market. In the near future the ICU will be available for other Canon cameras as well as the Nikon D100, transforming this most successful camera into a true D-TTL underwater system.
