Beneath the Sea 2005 issues an open invitation to its 29th Annual Worldwide Underwater photo/video competition.

	Underwater photographers, digital and film, will compete for the coveted David Doubilet award for excellence in underwater photography – the Grand Prize is a trip on an Explorer Ventures live aboard – the winner has choice of Explorer Venture boats: Nimrod Explorer, Turks and Caicos Explorer, or the Caribbean Explorer II.
	Underwater Videographers will compete for the distinguished Stan Waterman award for excellence in underwater video – the Grand Prize is a trip to the Cocos Islands off the coast of Costa Rica aboard the distinguished Undersea Hunter live aboard.
	Underwater Photographic Artists will compete for the celebrated Jim Church award for excellence in underwater creative photography – the Grand Prize to be a trip aboard the Peter Hughes Wind Dancer in Tobago.

The winners of the Beneath the Sea 2005 Worldwide Photo/Video Competition will be announced at the Film Festival the weekend of Beneath the Sea’s Dive and Travel Exposition, March 18th, 19th, and 20th, 2005, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. In addition to the awards that the Grand Prize winners of each category will receive, there will be prizes for all First, Second and Third place winners.
