Canon Announces EOS20D and 2 New Lenses

Canon today released photographs and specifications for their newest DSLR, the EOS 20D. This camera looks to be similar to the EOS 10D but with improved image sensor and other specifications:
8.2 Megapixel
5 FPS
9 Point AF System
Canon also announced the release of two new lenses for digital SLR cameras, the EF-S 10-22 f3.5-4.5 and the EF-S 17-85 IS f4.5-5.6
I used a picture of the 10D back and superimposed it over the 20D back and lined up the camera body points and controls (not the buttons) such as the upper and lower corners, the rear command wheel etc. I'm assuming that the front command dial and the shutter will line up, but cannot confirm this without more analysis. It's obvious that not all of the buttons line up though.

That's the most exciting news I've heard in a long time :)
That's the camera (almost) and lens I've been waiting for. Just wondering what the FOV crop is, and whether it'll fit in the 10D housing (looks promising).Posted by Rob Whitehead on 08/17 at 10:54 PMThe FOV crop is 1.6x.
