At Paramount Studios on Nov 3, Canon announced the Cinema EOS line, spearheaded by the EOS C300, a S35 sensored camera which shoots 422 50mbps MXF files and comes with either EF or PL mounts. The C300 uses dual CF cards for video and a SD card for stills. Canon also announced 2 PL and 5 EF mount lenses. Price is estimated to be around US$16000 and available in Jan 2012. Most interesting is the announcement of a prototype DSLR that shoots 4k resolution in MJPEG. No data on when it will hit production.
