In August, Wetpixel told you that Nikon had announced its new D80 dSLR, the “little brother” to the year-old D200. Shortly thereafter, in the forums, Wetpixel member Jack Connick pointed us to DP Review‘s excellent, exhaustive overview of the new D80.
If you’re interested, Ken Rockwell has posted a review that’s just as excellent and almost as exhaustive. However, Rockwell also provides a pretty thoughtful overview contrasting the D80 and the D200.
If you’re struggling with which camera to get, his D80 vs. D200 head-to-head comparison might help set you straight.

Comment(s):Ken Rockwell has a reputation for not being the most objective sources. Some claim he over states his opinions for the sake of traffic to his site and his sponsors. The first 4 words of his review seem are consistent with this view.
AlexPosted by Dr. Alex Mustard on 10/06 at 08:43 AMI am still living in the land of Prosumer cameras and whilst enjoying using my Olympus 5060 with its .22 sec shutter lag, i yearn for a DSLR so i can stop cutting butterfly fish in half. Your article explained your position on both cameras clearly and has helped me understand what to consider when taking the next camera giant stride. thanks
