Fantasea booth: Howard Rosenstein and Ran Vered

Howard Rosenstein and Ran Vered of Fantasea showed new underwater housings for the Nikon D80 and Canon Digital Rebel XTi/400D.  Fantasea specializes in housings for all Nikon Coolpix cameras.  All new models include support for full control of the camera, and housing packages containing tray, arm, flash, and fiber optic cable run under USD $400 retail (impressive).

Fantasea has also been busy producing a line of accessories, including Aquatica-like arms and ULCS-like clamps and balls.  They also have a wide-angle bayonet mount lens compatible with Fantasea coolpix housings and all other housings compatible with 46mm or 52mm screw-on threads.

A new modeling light is smart and turns off when it detects the preflash from a compact camera (to avoid hotspots in the resulting image).

  1. Any info on pricing and availability of this focus light? I like the idea of a focus light that shuts off during pre-flash. If its less than $100 then I’m a customer.

  3. Which light will it be based on? Any recommendation on how to attach it to ULCS components?

  4. I do not understand your question regarding which
light it will be based on? There is a picture of it in the article. It comes with a bracket which attaches to any Sea and Sea type arm connection, or Fantasea Line Flex arm or B and J arm connection, you can see it at this link

If you need any more information please send an email to

    Thanks

This is an excellent new, economical compact LED light and a very powerful accessory for underwater lighting. It will be ready by mid December just in time for the Holiday season.

Also look at the new Nano Torch on the same page, the ultimate back up diving light.
