The Wetpixel team leaves tomorrow for DEMA 2008 Las Vegas! As we have done every year since 2000, we will be on the floor live, posting photos and commentary of everything related to underwater photography and videography at the show. If you have any requests, please leave a comment here on the website and we will try to accommodate your request. We’ll also be representing Wetpixel and Wetpixel Quarterly magazine at our booth in the Imaging Resource Center (booth #3049, shared with Magic Filters and UwP Magazine), so please come visit!
Use this entry as an index to all of our DEMA coverage this year; check back periodically for updates!
Note that it will likely take the full 4 days of the show to cover all of the booths in our list. We will first cover our sponsors’ booths and will then fan out on the show floor in pseudo-random order, so if it takes us awhile to get to the booth whose products you are looking for, please be patient. For additional coverage, check out some of our friends, who will also be blogging live: DivePhotoGuide, X-Ray Magazine, and DeeperBlue. You can also check #DEMA @ Twitter, where some of us will be microblogging.

My main interest is to see whether ANYONE is going to make a housing for the Nikon D700 that will hold a D300. Subal is my main interest, but will be interested to see if everyone rules it out as Aquatica already has. Have a big time.

I work in the theatrical industry but my hobby is diving (UW photo), so imagine when I realize DEMA and LDI (Lighting Dimensions Intl) are at LV Convention center at the same time. I can hit both loves of my life at the same time!!!!
LDI on floor 1 and DEMA on floor 2. But no.... I can get a free floor pass to LDI, but no to DEMA, they hold things tight for the dealers… The average guy can’t get in....
Well I did, anyone knows that the people manning the gates at 5pm are just waiting for the 6pm close of the hall. So my buddy and I went in.... walked right past the people looking at badges. We had on our LDI badges turned around…
Did we steal trade secrets?? No…
We came away with questions for our dealers.
So my point is… Open up DEMA to those in the community that care, those that want to see. It does not have to be closed off.
