Wetpixel member Rand McMeins has just returned from the Lembeh Strait, Indonesia and has started a very interesting discussion about shooting supermacro. Rand uses a combination of 105mm lens, 2x teleconverter and Woody’s dioptre on his APS-C sensor D2X to achieve very high magnification combined with good depth of field. Rand is becoming well known as a master of this technique having recently won the top award in the Turks and Caicos postage stamp competition with one of his supermacro images. Visit the forums to join in the discussion and pick up his tips first hand.
