Gates Announces Howard Hall and Brian Skerry Book Signing at DEMA Booth

"Successful Underwater Photography" the long awaited update to the underwater photographers "bible".

San Diego, California - October 15th, 2002 - Gates Underwater Products today announces a book signing event with Howard Hall and Brian Skerry at Gates DEMA booth 1701A&B.

"Successful Underwater Photography" is the long awaited update to Howard Halls’ 1982 "Guide to Successful Underwater Photography", held by many as the ‘bible’ of underwater photo technique. It will be available for the first time ever at DEMA.

With the experienced contribution of co-author Brian Skerry, the new edition retains the simple and practical style of the original, but now features 144 full color pages, dozens of new photos, and a complete review of housed systems, metering, auto exposure, equipment choices, and much more.

"We are very pleased to host the respected Howard Hall and Brian Skerry for a book signing event," comments John Ellerbrock, President of Gates Underwater Products. "The new wave of digital underwater photographers will find the tried and true tenants of this book an instant classic."

Gates has also recently introduced a new digital still housing for the Sony F707 and F717 five megapixel digital still cameras. Attendees of DEMA that purchase either of these housings will receive a signed copy of the book with their order.
