HeinrichsWeikamp has recently introduced a new Remote Slave Unit designed to trigger underwater strobes at distances of more than 25 meters, with the emphasis towards use in “creative pool, wreck and cave photography.”
The basic unit features a Nikonos 5-pin sync-cord connector, is compatible with all underwater strobes capable of providing a ready signal of at least 4V, and can also be used with a dual sync-cord. The unit is intended for use underwater, and will automatically deactivate topside due to saturation of the photo sensor.
