Moceanarmor releases housing for iPhone

Moceanarmor has announced plans to manufacture the FourPro housing for the Apple iPhone 4 and 4s. It is rated to a depth of 100ft (30m) and is constructed from marine-grade aluminum and stainless steel. It has a mechanically activated record/stop button with an eight lip seal, a viewing port that allows viewing of the full LCD screen and a sun shade for the front lens.
The FourPro will be available soon and a kit containing the housing, a hard case, lanyard and tray with teak grips will retail for $699. In order to fund the tooling, it is available until 10 January, 2012 on Kickstarter at $399.
Our as yet unnamed product is a custom underwater housing rated down to 100' in salt water for the iPhone 4 & 4s. Design has been tested in real world conditions by Emmy winning National Geographic cameraman Ken Corben, it is ready to manufacture and ship.
Our Kickstarter project is designed to fund the tooling required for manufacturing while offering the product at nearly half off to the Kickstarter community. MSRP is $699 and includes housing, lanyard, Teak handles and a custom hard case. Kickstarter price is $399.

Comment(s):Ehh… for the cost of the housing you can buy a gopro which has higher quality video than the iPhone.
The only thing the iPhone 4s would be good for is as an external monitor for a 5d mkii or 7d… put it on top of your housing so you could view it… then again.. the size of the screen is not substantially bigger than the screens on the mkii or 7d..
