Martin Edge and Alex Mustard are to present a full day seminar “On Underwater Photography” at the Imperial College, London, UK on November 6th 2010. Both photographers are well known, not only for their images, but also for their willingness to share the techniques that they have used to create them.
Having two accomplished photographers providing feedback on their images, as well as on images from the audience, is a unique opportunity
The event will see Martin and Alex take to the stage discussing the techniques, ideas and approaches that go into producing memorable underwater images. They will be the only presenters at this event, allowing them to dove-tail the teaching content and giving them time to talk in detail about techniques. The talks will be prepared specifically for this event and will be illustrated mainly with brand new images.
In the morning they will take it in turns to present a series of short talks on perfecting classic techniques and creative ideas for images. After lunch they will host a two-man show, each armed with a projector and their Lightroom catalog, they will showcase their latest experiments and ideas, showing both the finished images and the images that paved the way. This will be an opportunity to see the thought process and the refinement of technique that goes into producing stunning images. The final session will be a review of the audience’s pictures giving direct feedback on how to improve them.

Comment(s):Oh yes, I’ll be there…
Posted by Tim Moran on 05/22 at 05:18 AMAh, this wasn’t supposed to be public knowledge yet. Not that it really matters, we just wanted to give “insiders” a few more days to get tickets before going public.
We’re really excited about it. Having complete control of the program means we feel we can really deliver a much higher quality of teaching/advice/ideas etc. Also, at just £20 for the day, it is much, much cheaper than almost all similar events, so we are hoping for a good turn out.
