The POTW rules clearly state that POTW entries must have been taken with a housed digital camera. Please read the rules carefully before you submit an image!
For a contest that accepts both digital and film-based images, check out our Official Photo Contest. The current contest is in the middle of judging, but a new one will be available for participation very soon!

Comment(s):As a purely “for -fun” contest I don't see how an open format allowing any “Original” medium can't be allowed. The “prize” is insignificant; all of the voters get to vote on a tiny 640X480 JPEG so there is no advantage to a film photographer. What I am really suprised about is that there is no seperate catagories for film /digital in your main contest. Just a few thoughts. “An image is an image “, I got the satisfaction out of knowing that my “Image” won. Thank you to all the voters who appreciated my image and not a bunch of technicalities ! Our policy is that images that do not meet the rules for a contest will not be judged - but for this contest, I made a mistake when I closed the contest for judging and left a scanned slide image in for judging. My apologies.
Cheers
