SanDisk Corp. and “Yam”, the Israeli Diving magazine, has announced today, the opening of the enrollment to the grand underwater competition, “Sandisk Red Sea Underwater Photography Competition”, which will be held on April 24th-29th, at the Isrotel Ambassador hotel in Eilat, Israel.

Underwater photographers from all over the world, has begun to send their photos to the “Images of the world” category, and also to the “Eilat Shoot-out Party”. Sandisk Corp. has announced that the first 100 enrollers to the Eilat’s Shoot-Out will receive a free Compact Flash or an SD flash card – free of charge in Eilat.

The SanDisk 2006 Red Sea Underwater Photography Competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers, shooting with film or digital cameras. Selected categories are open to competitors from all over the world, whose photos can be shot at any time and from any location. Contestants can send photographs in by mail. . “The last competition received a great deal of attention among underwater photographers and divers from around the world”, said David Pilosof, the competition’s originator. “We expect even more entrants and press coverage this year due to the larger prizes.”

Other events taking place during the April 24-29, 2006 contest include an Opening Cocktail Party at the Eilat Red Sea Marine Park, a Shoot-out party at the Dolphin Reef, the April 28 screening of the Antibes film festival winning films and the April 29 Friday Show Party and Prize Ceremony at the Isrotel Ambassador hotel.
