Sea&Sea introduces the VX-HC1 PRO video housing for Sony’s new, compact high definition camcorder, the HDR-HC1.

Main features of the VX-HC1 housing

Supports the Sony HDR-HC1 and HVR-A1J
Incorporates the most functional attributes of the VX-950 PRO housing
Equipped with an ultra wide 0.66x optical viewfinder
Still photo capture available using the memory stick feature
Accessory close-up conversion lens (37mm diameter) for the HDR-HC1 prime lens enables extreme close focus imaging.  Requires compact macro port S and VX-950 step-up lens.
Large rotary-style locking mechanism enables easy opening and closing of the housing
Equipped with a video output terminal and an accessory bulkhead connector
Underwater weight: approximately 4800 g/ 168 oz.
Depth rated to 200 feet (60m)
Main body material: ABS resin

  1. I suspect that is an above water weight… 4800 g would make quite a good anchor for a canoe :-)
