Sea & Sea has released details of a new compact camera and underwater housing combination. The DX-GE5 comprises a 12.2 megapixel camera with a 2.7" LCD screen and a polycarbonate housing, rated to 180ft/55m. There is also a wide-angle wet lens accessory available, and the new system is compatible with Sea and Sea strobes (YS-01/02) via fiber optic link.
SEA&SEA is pleased to announce its latest compact digital camera set, the DX-GE5.
The DX-GE5 is Sea & Sea’s next generation of underwater digital camera systems combining a waterproof digital camera and underwater housing depth rated to 180ft/55m. Available in September, the DX-GE5 uniquely blends style, performance and value unseen before in underwater compact digital systems. The DX-GE5 camera is waterproof to 16ft/5m without housing and is packed with the latest array of digital features that include: an ultra-fine 12.2 megapixel CCD sensor, 2.7” LCD display, 4x optical zoom, 38-152mm zoom lens (35mm equiv.), ISO to 3200, face detection, image stabilisation, shooting modes including underwater movie, Sea & Sea underwater, panorama and more.
The camera offers 16MB of internal memory, accepts SD/SDHC memory cards up to 16GB, and comes standard with a Li-Ion battery, charger, USB cable and Arcsoft editing software. Optional accessories include a wide-angle conversion lens (#SS-52115). The DX-GE5 camera is protected by a rugged and dependable polycarbonate housing allowing full functionality of the camera to 180ft/55m.
