The Shark Trust, along with Diver Magazine, has opened the ”Sharks In Focus” photo competition to submission of entries. Intended to ”celebrate the beauty and highlight the vulnerability of sharks,” the grand prize winner will receive a week-long diving holiday for two in the Maldives. Sponsors include Barefoot Traveller, Suunto, Mares, Ocean Optics, and Fujifilm.
The August 31, 2007 deadline is fast approaching, and while there is no entry fee, there is a limit of two submissions per entrant, so choose wisely. The top photographs will be displayed at the Dive 2007 exhibit at NEC Birmingham in October and published in the 2008 Diver Magazine calendar.
