Here’s a sneak peak at one of Light & Motion’s new LED based video lights. The 18 LEDs combined with a peened reflector gives a light output of around 2000 lumens, or 35% brighter than Light & Motion’s 21w HID lights.

Instant on, solid-state lights that never have to have a bulb replaced?  We like it.

  4. What about the angle of coverage of this lights? As far as I’ve been testing LEDs, their narrow angle doesn’t make them really suitable for underwater video, at least while filming WA.
    Best regards!

  5. Two points-
1 - Cheers for L&M!  LEDs have been improving by leaps and bounds and now have higher luminous efficacy than even HIDs.  This ought to be a very interesting light.
2 - Let’s expect more information at DEMA soon but for more info now see the Video Light thread by “videodan”
