The Mk II series has a different button layout on the back. The Subal housing seems to account for this by using 5, separate buttons (3 for the Mk II, 2 for the original 1D/1Ds).
Posted by Eric Cheng on 03/23 at 11:32 AMAnother post script. The Sea and Sea focus gear does not work with the Subal housing. Manual focus is therefore not accessible for the 100mm lens and this housing.

I have found that the basic EXR-100 supplied by Subal does not work with the Canon 24-70 mm f2.8 L USM lens. This is not revealed on either Subal’s web site or the Marine Camera Distributors web site. Since discovering this followed by much communication with Subal and MCD, I have found that a special machined version is required. When ordering the dome port for this lens please make sure you order the extension ring, EXR-100, to be machined for the Canon 24-70 mm lens.
