Earlier this year, Nautilus announced the Nautilus Swell, a new boat in their liveaboard dive fleet. The Swell is a beautiful, 90-foot ship with 7 ensuite staterooms that accommodates up to 14 divers.
Wetpixel's June 11-23, 2011 expedition to Alaska will now be aboard the newly-refit Nautilus Swell and will run from Juneau to Sitka. Switching to the Nautilus Swell from the Nautilus Explorer actually makes for a better trip because only 12 divers will be in the water at once. Diving is still done from the 38-foot dive skiff (previously used for 24 divers on the Explorer). The skiff becomes a floating dive deck with lots of room for storage, and once you set your gear up, it stays there.
We will be taking a maximum of 11 guests + trip leader (12 total). Trip leader Jason Bradley is an accomplished cold-water photographer and runs regular photography workshops both on land and sea.
5 spots currently available. Cost is $4,650 per person for double-occupancy stateroom or $5,350/person for double-occupancy superior suite.
Please see the Wetpixel expeditions page for full details and booking instructions!
