We’ve just had a single cancellation for the 2007 Wetpixel Solomon Islands Expedition. The Solomon Islands are one of my favorite dive destinations, and offer everything from tiny pygmy seahorses to huge barracuda tornados. The topography (both topside and underwater) is absolutely breath-taking, and the crew and guides on the Bilikiki are some of the best I’ve encountered. Check out the full trip details if you’re interested—and book soon! There is only one spot free.

Comment(s):Hi Eric,
You might want to check how things are going down Gizo way...They were hit by a pretty big tsunami last Saturday and the area is now declared a ‘disaster zone’... I know that the dive shop run by Danny Kennedy lost two of its five dive boats.
BrucePosted by bruceterrill on 04/03 at 08:58 PMHi Eric,
Sounds like a fantastic trip. If the spot is still available, I’d like to book it.
RickPosted by waja on 04/05 at 07:57 AMUpdate as of today: one spot free.
Also, I wrote to Bilikiki, and they say that their operations and reef destinations were unaffected by the disaster.
Posted by Eric Cheng on 04/23 at 02:06 PMI was on Spirit of Solomons a few weeks ago and there was no evidence anywhere of any earthquake or tsunami issues.
Posted by betti154 on 06/13 at 04:13 AMHello Eric
I´m trying to see your photos from Solomons 2004 in http://www.echeng.com/travel/solomons/bestof/ but all links are broken!
Can you take a look?
Thank you!
Posted by Marcio Lisa on 06/16 at 11:45 AMHi Eric,
I’m just back from a 9 night trip on BKI with Stan Waterman & Nancy McGee; it was even better than my last trip in Feb. 2005! M & M were just wonderful as was the crew, with many familiar faces. If I could, I’d go back in a second with you, and Cor & Julie, whom I hope to meet someday. Diving was varied and fine, temps in the mid 80s F., currents only at Mary Island (Maybe if I someday learn to make underwater photos I’ll be really fortunate...) Used John Zeiss’ Stix system for the first time - the macromate was a whole lot easier to use as a result...here again I’ve miles to go. Please add me to the mailimg list. Hope to see you at Sea Rovers, if not before.
Best regards,
