Wetpixel announces the South Africa Ocean Safari 2009 (aka the “Sardine Run"). There is no need to introduce the trip—just check out the incredible photos captured by our expedition in 2008! The Wetpixel Ocean Safari is based out of Port St Johns; this means that you may not necessarily get to experience dramatic African surf launches, but you will be able to get out onto the ocean when others cannot.
5 passengers max!
We have two dates available:
Jun 12-Jun 27, 2009 (16 days, 14 boat days)
USD $Contact for pricing. Subject to currency fluctuations.
Jun 27 -Jul 09, 2009 (13 days, 11 boat days)
USD $Contact for pricing. Subject to currency fluctuations.
We assume that you want a single unless you ask explicitly for a double. Trip includes boat with skipper and guide, 3 meals a day, microlite air coverage, and transportation to/from Durban. The trip will be led by a scientist or sardine run expert TBD.
Rates are based on the South African rand (ZAR) in late October 2008. Rates will be adjusted accordingly immediately before the trip, and you will be charged or refunded the difference. Because our prices are based on actual cost, Wetpixel reserves the right to charge a fuel surcharge if local fuel prices go up.
NOTE: Full payment is required upon booking, and is non-refundable unless we replace your empty spot. Your spot is not confirmed until we have received full payment. This is a serious commitment, and we cannot even plan the trip unless we fill all 5 spots.
To book, please contact . By request, we will send you an Ocean Safari travel document with full information on the trip.
