Mauricio Handler had a chance to shoot the new prototype housing for the Kodak 14 MP DCS Pro 14n, 14nx, and ProSLRn on three trips recently. [Ed: Kodak makes 3 versions of this camera, the 14n with an “older” sensor, the 14n with the new sensor, called the “nx,” and the ProSLRn with the new sensor and new power management electronics.] He has provided us with some sample photos from his 14n and we have mixed them up with some photos of the prototype housing, taken at DEMA 2004.

The new Aquatica Kodak housing is a modified version of the D100/ S2 housing molds.

The Kodak DCS pro 14n/ProSLRn is the only digital Nikon mount available on the market today containing a full 35mm sized image sensor. The images are 4500 x 3000 pixels = 14 megapixels.

  2. Yes, to a point.  For example, the 12-24DX will work as an 18-24 lens, but if you zoom out more than 18mm, you will get black corners.  With the 10.5, you will get a circular image that does not fill the frame.
