Keldan HID Lights booth

I was really impressed with Keldan Lights‘ booth—it was just about the brightest area at DEMA, and I blew out the exposure in a bunch of images while shooting product shots there.

Daniel Keller took me on a tour of the new Luna 8 WA Video Light, which looked really interesting.  The light has variable power (8 power levels from 14-28 watts), a removable, integrated lithium-ion battery, and a diffuser, but has a relatively narrow beam angle (20°, 60° with diffuser).

Features:

- integrated design
- removable li-on battery
- 14-28 watt, 8 power levels
- 100 minutes at full burn, 3 hrs at low burn
- 5200°K color temperature, cooler at low burn, warmer at high burn
- 20° beam angle, 60° with diffuser

The Luna 8 WA is self-contained and costs USD $1872 including diffuser, bracket, and ULCS ball adapter.  The Solaris Tec 24 is similar to the Luna 8 but has detached battery and light head.
