INON AMERICA #2368
October 31, 2007 - 12:59PM

INON had fewer new products this year, but Steve Philbrook and Mark Rupert showed me a full line of compact digicam housings and accessories in addition to their popular strobe models, the Z-240, D-2000, D-2000s, and Z-22 ring strobe.

A new 180° straight viewfinder prototype will please those people looking for a magnified viewfinder who hate 45° models. The new viewfinder is 1:1 and designed for APS-sized sensors. It should ship sometime in January.

INON is working on a Canon 40D housing, which should be very similar to their X2 design for the Canon 30D.

Also new was a M67 macro lens arm, which is a clamp and ball for the M67 macro accessory lens. The new lens arm allows the M67 diopter to be mounted in front of unsupported camera housings that cannot have a M67 mounted directly to the port.
